Blur is a study of architectural invisibility. Through the physical suggestion of disappearance the
designer questions the relationship between form and background. A distortion in density makes it difficult to understand the true size of the piece, and this invisibility is made possible through the use of a new fabric weaving technique. The project is an excuse to create a new jacquard fabric which when applied to a three dimensional form, makes it difficult to really understand space, size and volume. Flame-retardant polyurethane foam over internal structure wood. The covering is a technical elastic fabric, with Jaquard processing for color grading. The textile project is also done by M. Thorpe.
